Ricardo Celis Aguilar Álvarez

Ricardo Celis Aguilar Álvarez graduated from the Universidad del Valle de México on June 1 of 1994, with honors. He then took an academic course in Corporate Law at the Instituto Tecnologico Autónomo de México (1995), followed by a Master Degree in Constitutional and Administrative Law at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) (1997), a Judicial Specialization Program at the Federal Judicial Institute of the Judicial Power of the Federation (1998), Constitutional Law Specialization at the Universidad de Salamanca, Spain (1998), Specialization in Governance and State Progress in Latin America, at the Universidad Complutense, Madrid (2002) and the Preparation Course for the 2002-2003 Electoral Process, Judicial School from the Electoral Court from the Judicial Power of the Federation.

Before joining the Firm, he worked at the Federal Supreme Court of Justice, as Court Officer, Counsel, District Court Secretary, Collegiate Circuit Court Secretary and Investigation and Account Secretary; at the Electoral Court from the Judicial Power of the Federation he collaborated as Academic Secretary of the Specialized Investigation Center in Electoral Law and as Business Chief of the Technical Secretariat of the Administration Commission and at the Department of Internal Affairs as Contentious Assistant General Manager and Commissioned of the Legal Affairs Unit, he has more than 10 years of experience in constitutional and administrative litigation, especially regarding governmental bidding processes. Mr. Celis has collaborated as a Civil and Successions Law Professor at the Universidad Anáhuac del Sur and the UNAM. He is member of the Professors Association of Civil Law of the UNAM, A.C. Law School; fluent in Spanish and English.
