Roberto Antonio Guzmán Sarti, is a lawyer graduated from Escuela Libre de Derecho, who received his professional degree in 2009, after submitting his professional thesis entitled, Proposal for the Incorporation of the Right of Collation in the Third Book of the Civil Code for the Federal District (Propuesta de Incorporación del Derecho de Colación en el Libro Tercero del Código Civil para el Distrito Federal).

He worked at Rendón Graniel Abogados S.C. (2006) and Buchanan Abogados S.C. (2006-2007), where he developed in civil law, litigation, arbitration and corporate law.

He joined Celis Aguilar Álvarez y Asociados since 2007, working in administrative litigation and amparo, in addition to consulting in all areas of environmental law, such as environmental impact, waste, emissions, highly hazardous activities, change of land use in forest lands, federal maritime zone, protected natural areas, water, site remediation, mining, hydrocarbons, citizen participation, indigenous groups and climate change.

In 2011 he started as an adjunct professor in the subjects of Environmental Law and Administrative Law II at the Universidad Iberoamericana, where he taught for 12 years, in addition to being invited to various institutions of higher education to teach classes, diploma courses and conferences in both, undergraduate and graduate degrees, such as the Universidad del Medio Ambiente, Universidad la Salle and Escuela Libre de Derecho, as an adjunct in the Environmental Law class as well as holder of the environmental law module in the Energy Law Diploma.

As of 2015, in recognition of his trajectory, work, dedication, reputation, knowledge and development with clients and authorities, he was appointed partner of the firm Celis Aguilar Álvarez y Asociados.

And in 2016, he was rated by Chambers and Partners as "key partner with a growing presence in the field", where he has remained for 6 years since, with different references to his work and recognition, currently positioning himself, in band 3 of the recognized international ranking.

For this reason, in 2018 the name of the Firm was changed from Celis Aguilar Álvarez y Asociados to Celis Aguilar Álvarez, Guzmán Sarti y Asociados.

Throughout more than 15 years, he has actively and decisively participated in recognized matters of national transcendence, with emblematic cases of mining, renewable and hydrocarbon companies, as well as with indigenous communities and social problems, among others.

He has also collaborated in several publications on the subject, contributing his knowledge of environmental regulations and experience in the interpretation given by administrative and jurisdictional authorities.

His broad experience, both in consulting and litigation, as well as in private, public and social law, has allowed him to provide legal advice to his clients, from the different possible perspectives and taking care of all the existing aspects, thus achieving the expected results.

He is currently in the process of obtaining a Master's degree in Environmental Management and Audits from the Centro Panamericano de Estudios Superiores and Universidad Europea Miguel de Cervantes, through the Fundación Universitaria Iberoamericana.
